The CONCATENATE formula is in the Text category in the Insert Function dialog box.<\/p>\n<p>To add a blank character between words, type a space between quotation marks. This adds a blank character between the separated text. Whatever is between the quotes, be it a space, text or characters, it will show up in the concatenation.<\/p>\n<p>So, if you were trying to create an email address at Dartmouth College, the formula would be:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Courier New;\">=CONCATENATE(A3,&#8221;.&#8221;,B3,&#8221;@dartmouth.edu&#8221;)<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Which would yield: Mickey.Mouse@dartmouth.edu<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/figartconsulting.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/100516_1321_NiftyTipUsi1.png?w=525&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The CONCATENATE formula allows one to combine text from multiple cells into a single cell.
